Mr. Park specializes in human operator performance, perceptual attention and driver behavior research using the STISIM Drive driving simulator. He has a strong background in experimental design, statistical analysis, human-machine interface and usability. He currently oversees the data collection and statistical analysis of a variety of research projects involving driving and psychomotor performance.

Mr. Park also provides expertise in the development of driving simulator user interfaces, documentation, and scenarios that meet the needs of research projects as well as STI’s commercial driving simulator customers. Projects he has designed and developed scenarios for include: novice driver licensing, teenage novice driver assessment and training, driving under the influence of alcohol demonstrator, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder drug testing, fatigue/sleep testing, multimodal in-vehicle navigation, situational awareness with in-vehicle devices, and older driver assessment and training.
