PARASIM® 5 begins shipping this month! With all-new high-resolution real-world graphics, a completely redesigned User Interface and a host of new features, PARASIM® 5 is the next generation in parachute training technology. PARASIM® 5’s new scenes extend over 200 miles across, enabling exit altitudes over 25,000 ft for HAHO canopy glide training. The new user wind field entry capability lets you customize winds aloft with ease and even enter meteorological wind forecasts, and the enhanced Jump Partner features now make it possible to jump with two, three or more pre-recorded jumpers.

PARASIM® Software-Controlled Motorized Frame Debuts

Systems Technology has been working with our colleagues at SSK, Inc. to develop and integrate a motorized, computer-controlled PARASIM® frame. Based on the design of the Horizontal Start Frame introduced in 2009, this new system allows the jumper to clip into the risers while standing on the ground, then lifts the jumper from the floor into a vertical or horizontal start position, for emergency egress, static line or freefall training. As the jumper makes the final approach to landing in PARASIM®, the system lowers the risers, synchronizing the physical touch-down with the virtual landing. This new system has been demonstrated at the SOFIC10 and SAFE industry trade shows. The new motorized frame and retrofit kits for existing Horizontal Start Frame systems is now available for use with PARASIM® 5 software.
